19th Century American horse Carriages, Their Manufacture, Decoration and Use. by the Museum of Stony Brook.  Mostly black and white with a few color photos and a chart with colors of paint used on the vehicles. A great historical reference for the larger carriage companies and the industrialization’s effect on the production, design and use of horse drawn vehicles primarily in the eastern part of the USA. 174 pages 8″ x 10″, soft cover. There is a companion book “Carriage Collection”  that provides the history of the Museum’s collection with detailed description of 80 vehicles from the collection.
